Re: RIP Osman Abdulrahim.
I thought he passed away quite a while ago. Heart breaking story. When it comes to Eritrean modern Tigrigna music, one of the best of all time. Ther term Asmarino was coined for him and his contemporaries such as Haile Gebru, Tekle Tesfazgi, Yemane , Teberh and Ghirmay wedi Felipo. That leaves Haile Ghebru from the Asmarinos era. Rip the great man of music.
Re: RIP Osman Abdulrahim.
Yes R.I.P. to the legend of modern Eritrean music Osman Abdelrehim.
But the term Asmarino was coined to my father who was much older than Osman.
My dad, was an elegant 6 languages speaker, 6”4’ in height, very handsome, first the head of Gindae’s police dept then Massawa’s police dept and finally Asmara’s traffic police chief.
He was well known not only in Asmara but in Eritrea
in general.
And we his kids were never called by our names. We all, were called Wedi Seyoum Gual Seyoum or Deki Seyoum.
I actually believe the ‘Wedi’ like Wedi Afom or other ‘Wedi’ someone is coined after my father’s name.
I have a very secret I want to tell about how my dad, was contemplating to kill the midget Sellassie for he was the closest traffic police officer to him when the cobwebbed, ugly, midget sellassie used to visit Asmara, specially during the evil British Queen Elizabeth visited Asmara. He was the officer on motor cycle in the front of the midget and other dignitaries who visited Asmara.
Of course then we didn’t like it for our dad will be dead too, (we were children) but now come to think about it and since my dad passed away with old age, I wish he fulfilled that agenda in that era.
His then sacrifice would have saved Eritrea
from all the miseries Eritrea
went through.

Regardless how the Midget Haile selasie was viewed, to the idiots who came after him,( Be it the slave mengistu Haile Mariam, the agame Meles Zenawi or the son of Suwa Brewer wedi medhin berad) he should be declared as a saint. in fact Saint Haile selasie is in order.

In regard to the Legend Osman AbdulRahim, I started to know him after the liberation of Massawa and the EPLF cultural group were attending Bologna festival in Italy in 1990 on which Osman Abdul rahim entertained the audience with the song, "Hizbawi serawit", I am also accustomed o the song Adey-Weledatitey though I never knew who was the singer or the song writer.
Any way Rest in peace to the deceased and may the almighty lord give his love ones comfort.
Re: RIP Osman Abdulrahim.
Deqi Arawit Wedi megal, assaw, qosal mitra agame don’t freaking tell me you know more about my Asmarino dad than me.
My dad hated the freaking midget selassie which you are praising. But my dad has too many mouths (family to feed) and he had to work to earn money just like lots of the then fathers used to do, even though 2 sisters and one brother of mine joined Jebha and fought just like the other Eritreans before them and after them. Even though dad was inside Eritrea
working to feed his family he was a background member of Jebha and then Shaebia and contributed to the struggle just like my siblings.
You are calling sellassie saint when he was the cause of all the hurt of Eritrea
.
Why is the fact that his predecessors which you are calling them worse than him wouldn’t have set their ugly feet inside Eritrea
if he didn’t set his cobwebbed ugly feet inside Eritrea.
you are not grasping?
You mother fu’cker dirty agame, we wouldn’t know who was Mengistu, woyane or Wedi beshasha if he didn’t clear the road to Eritrea
for them. For that matter we the Eritreans would know your agame a’ss and your 130 million rats
Ethiopians including of this site.
He is the number one evil who set his feet in Eritrea.
That is besides how many villages he burned, how many churches and mosques he burned, how many young Eritreans he hanged in Asmara, herds market in Edaga hamus, forced us to learn Amharic, burned numerous other Eritrean ethnic groups books. Killing Eritreans in Asmara streets who did stand still when the ugly Ethiopian national anthem was playing during the lowering of his ugly flag.
You mother fu’cker agame don’t have any clue how evil he was inside Eritrea
for he didn’t station his army inside tigray knowing that you cowards don’t amount to any challenge.
