He did try to take on the issues of his own home city, Addis, and didn't manage anything tangible, only managed to gather some of street mobs and let them clap their hands for him. He claimed to win all of the Woredas, and collected money from the gullible and mostly ignorant diaspora and few mobs in Ethiopia itself. But then failed to win a single vote, a complete failure.

Then he moved to the monasteries of Gojjam to wage guerrilla warfare against the state, the monastery itself ejected him after he caused a major damage to their institute.

He now lingers somewhere in the bushes of North Showa area, still without any tangible achievement to himself.

Iskinder Nega is one of two Ethiopian writers I have ever reached out to years ago for unsolicited suggestion after sensing their potentials and lapses in their public commentaries. I wished that their lapses not strangulate their potentials that could have grown and gone far. I don’t think either one understood and absorbed my unsolicited suggestions. I left them at that.

Ancient perceptions have both priceless treasures and invalid antiques that have been and need to be antiquated. The scientific environment that started centuries ago has been advancing, expanding, and progressing.

Your bringing invalid ancient perception and deploying it for an argument in the 21st century scientific environment suggests that you remain uninitiated in scientific processes.

If I am not mistaken, the word miracle is inadmissible in court proceedings in the U.S.

You owe it to yourself to take time to analyze if there is any meaning in terms of physical cause and effect in the notion of curse from ancient times, which is different from condemnation.

Eskinder could have won these women over and used them to make a stride for his own progress, he left them behind and went to the bushes.

Now they have left him behind, he is still in the bushes without any prospect while these women have some flicker of hope for their tomorrow.
