In Eritrea, child marriage before the age of 12 is most common in 2021. You can imagine their marriage age culture during the time of the Prophet Mohammed, some 1400 years ago. 7, 8, 9 years old girls married.

No, i dont believe that. Eritreans adopted our traditionals to the most part before the colonizers ruined them. So in our culture a 12 year old girl could be married to 18 or 20 years old boy but throught family arrangements. So the girl will move to the boys family and the in laws will raise and protect her untill she is 18 or older, then they get married. No sexual relationship is allowed before she is older and before she is officially married which is over 18. This was our old tradition as well.
