President Isayas doesn't want Eritrea to be used as a proxy, but he may very well accept Egyptian armaments to further strengthen the Eritrean forces. But I doubt he'd go as far as committing troops to an anti Ethiopian war waged by Egypt and their somali "allies," if it happens.
Also, long term, it'd be foolish because Ethiopia would never forget it and eventually would want to avenge itself, even if it took decades to be able to and egypt would not help.
