They are found in Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Djibutu. Soqotra and Eden. Vast geography indeed.

Why do you make sweeping generalization? Which Somalia are you talking about. You have the indigenous Bantu, Arab and Bantu-Interbred, and Oromo-Somalia interbred, Oromo, etc. groups.

Bantus in Somalia......1,000,000.
Continuously being assimilating to Somali, especially in Urban centers.
Oromos......41,000
Arabs......35,000
Negligible percentage.
There is a continuous language shift and assimilation to Somali among all the three above.

An interesting fact is all the Somali lands are contiguous from Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibuti, Eden in Yemen, Soqotra Islands on the Indian Ocean to Somalia itself. Huge landmass. One language without dialects as far I know. And 99.9% Muslim.

Somali language is made up of two main dialects - Maxaa and Maay, Maay being the source of the Somali language. There are also minor dialects.

The Somali language is may may and Maxa tiri language
May may is only spoke in south western Somalia. Where as the maxa tiri language is spoken through out Somalia and also in Djibouti and the Somali province currently occupied by Ethiopia and also Kenya north eastern province I think only 10 percent of the Somali ethnicity understand the may may dialect I have hard time understanding how ever it I listen closely and deeply I understand Some of it or atleast what they insinuating the same granmer but some times different order of grammer and a bit different words

You're wrong. Maay dialect or language is spoken not only is south western Somalia, but also acroos all Jubaland and Benadir region, which includes Mogadishu. It's also understood across Somalia but less in the north. The 10% you've mentioned has no basis whatsoever.
Of course, you've hard time understanding Maay, because you've not been exposed to it, as you're from Ethiopia.
It's spoken in the parliaments and no one has ever asked for interpreters.

Well we can calculate also the 10 percent I have to do abit more calculation on that but it is in that order how much do u think the may may constitute in terms of percentage in the Somali peninsula or the people that understand it

There's a difference between how many people speak a language/dialect and how many people who speak the same language as their mother tongue.
Maay is not only spoken by Digil and Mirifle or Raxaweyn. For instance, Hasan Sheikh Mohamoud speaks Maay fluently, yet he's not from Digil and Mirifle. However, Digil and Mirifle is not a minority clan.

Good question.
No, they're not distant to each other but very close, as Maay is the origin or source of the Maxaa. Even someone who was NOT exposed to one can still understand a good portion of what's said in the other dialect, provided they make an effort and show interest.

It's one language with minor, very negligible, regional differences. Linguists call them intelligible dialects.
In most cases, also depending on individual's hearing and language ability, an individual from Jubaland can undetstand a speaker from Hargeisa. The Jubaland individual's mother dialect is Maay whereas the Hargeisa speaker's mother tongue is Maxaa.
Two dialects:
Maay spoken in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
Maxaa spoken in the north and Djibuti.
Yet, both intelligible to each orher. Thus one language.
