Only UN member states can receive an ambassador from another country. Ethiopia has been renewing its representative in this mindless breakaway region almost every year. This baboon cannot have the status of an ambassador since this region is not a state on its own, leave alone being a UN member state.
Ethiopia does not and cannot have an embassy in Hargeisa All it has there is a consulate. Establishing an embassy without Mogadishu's consent contravenes the principles of the international conventions which Ethiopia is a signatory to, and it knows perfectly well.

Horus seems to reside in a fantasy of his own making indeed , referring to a consulate as an embassy—perhaps a touch more education is in order. The individual who is purportedly stationed in Hargeisa is, in fact, the same person who occupied the position previously. In truth, very little has changed.

I have no doubt, UK and other countries are in the line to congratulate Somaliland on her independence!
What would Egypt, Eritrea, Italy-Somalia do when a chain of countries follow suit 
In any case, those who think the UN ( voluntary NGO) matters are fool. As long as the country is free by itself for itself (its citizens) that is genuine independence. UN is an extension of former colonizers organization ( updated version of syndicate of colonizers), that is why I tell Ethiopian to ignore this instrument and also AU when it comes to asserting its territorial integrity and access to her natural Red Sea.

Here is why you are right. As we speak, Italy is conspiring with Egypt to come to the aid of Somalia, its former colony. By the same logic UK is not going to sit idle while its former colony is be snatched by other powers. UK is going to move in with full force into SLR economically etc. So, as soon as Ethiopia opens the gate, it will UK. Remember, it is a UK law firm that writing the agreement.

When UK goes, the U.S. goes too. I hope the U.S. understands that Egypt in Somalia means Al Shabab. Muslim Brotherhood dominated Egypt means potential sympathizers of Al Shabab. No one want to see fully blown terrorist play ground of Italy-Somalia.
The independence of Somaliland is well done job and reached no point of return. Italy-Somalia is foolish, in stead of making peace turning her land into play ground of foreign actors. More pain adding on themselves.
