Both airlines have complied with Somalia's order, not to please Somalia, but because they knew Somalia's concern was in line with the rules and conventions of international aviation authorities. All they can do is to ban the airlines in which case local people would pay the price more than the airlines, as these airlines fly also to a few other destinations in Somalia; thus, their loss would be minimal. While if they reverse it back and replace again Somalia with Somaliland, Somalia would stop them from using the airspace of Somalia altogether, which is its right.

They claim that they comply with ​the Convention on International Civil Aviation (also known as Chicago Convention). This is horsesh'it. To comply with this convention, you must have been a signatory to the convention, which this mindless region is not at all.

I agree i dont think the Ethiopian airlines and Flydubai would change anything , Since the Airspace us controlled from Mogadishu and international airliners have to comply with the central goverment.
