Somalia demands removal of 'Somaliland' references from business websites

Post by Somaliman » 24 Aug 2024, 21:17

Mogadishu (HOL) — The federal government has issued a strict order requiring all remittance companies and businesses operating in Somalia, explicitly addressing Paysii, Dahabshiil, Jubba Express, and other financial institutions, to eliminate any references to "Somaliland" from their websites and financial services. The memo, aimed at reinforcing Somalia's territorial integrity, will take effect on September 1, with violators facing legal consequences under Somali law.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in a statement released on Saturday, emphasized that the use of "Somaliland" undermines the sovereignty and unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The ministry warned that companies failing to comply would be seen as violating the nation's independence and could be subject to severe penalties.

The directive is part of Somalia's effort to ensure that all entities operating within its borders adhere to the official stance that Somaliland remains part of Somalia. The government has recently taken similar actions, including enforcing compliance by international airlines.

HORUS,

Guess what, the biggest remittance company used by Somalis is owned in Somaliland, yet they can't object to this order.

Somaliman,
why do you waste your time on small time bananas? The singular core issue and the total solution is the independence of Somaliland republic and recognizing her statehood. All these other side show like name change of notebook or t-shirt is only meaningful for children. The day SLR becomes a state every long on planet earth about SLR will change.

Horus,

What you certainly do not know at all, like many others, is that Somaliland comprises five regions and five clans. Only one region and its single clan is obsessed with daydreaming of recognition; the rest of four regions with their four clans are for a united Somalia.

Successive Somali governments and foreign governments have asked Somaliland to hold a referendum on independence. To date, they're refusing to hold it, as they know perfectly well that a staggering majority of the whole region, including a large number of the sole region that's parroting recognition, would reject secession by landslide, and this would eventually be the last nail in the coffin of their daydreaming right before the eyes of the world, and thus that page would be turned for good.

It's not even common sense to grant a recognition to a tiny region with a relatively small population that shares everything with the rest of the population in the country which they want to secede from.

C'mon, we all know that not a single Ethiopian does give a fuc'k about the people in Somaliland, leave alone a Gurage; all your clown monkey is after is to annex a portion of our ancestral land and flood it with your poverty-stricken Galla en masse, and finally make us a minority in our own country.

Somaliman,
Don't argue with me, argue with you dictator Hassan Sheik and tell me why Puntland, Jubaland and Heran don't want to have anything to with Hassan!!!! And, yes Somalis are so divided into soooo many clans that it seems Ethiopia is the stabilizing factor. So many Somalis simply want to be associated with Ethiopia and enjoy the development vibrant life here! We welcome all of them. Look at them is Addis Abeba - they are the happiest. Your Said Bareian hate for Ethiopia is dead. Stop fu**king around with our mortal enemy Egypt. Egypt will put Somalia on fire for another 30 years of destruction. Remember, you have 10 million total population, Ethiopia can raise 10 million man army if things come to that.

You're wrong, I'm an alien from Mars on a short visit on Earth.

Why can't those children in the most inhumane living conditions benefit from your vibrant economy bullsh'it? You know Ethiopian streets are populated by destitute kids and prostitutes.

Somalia is not real government thats why they are fighting against symbols. Because they know they will never be able to erase Somaliland practically. These faqash hates isaaq at the same time they pretend like we are brothers. The reality is No Oromo is obsessed to erase me , but a Somali faqash do. That's the difference.

He's doing that on purpose because he knows his plain bullsh'it fails to get across. Therefore, he resorts to blabbering on about confused and unintelligible mixture of random words and phrases, known as word salad, evident in people with schizophrenia. He's spending all his time on Somali affairs, yet his knowledge in this regard still remains rudimentary. He confuses us with the Ethiopians whom he recites his bullsh'it to at Starbucks or Ethiopian barbershops in his neighbourhood in the states.

His paragraphs full of bullsh'it are not even in agreement with one anther, leave alone forming an argument text, which can persuade the reader to appraise and potentially agree with the poster's position on an subject. And he just keeps doubling down his bullsh'it, and calling us Eritreans when his blatant lies are smashed.
