What is shaking the Horn of Africa today?

1. Ethiopia began building a military base at Ethiopia -Somalia border where the Egyptian army was planned to settle according the Somalia Egypt anti-Ethiopia military pact. Ethiopia has now practically gave the signal to Egypt that Al-Sisi's foolish ambition of encircling Ethiopia from the East to be the proverbial crossing of the Red Line.

2. Any kind of delaying negotiation and empty talk between Hassan Sheik & Ethiopia is all but dead. Ethiopia must and will recognize the Independence of Somaliland weeks before the January date of arrival of the anti-Ethiopian Egyptian army into any part of Somalia. As I said yesterday, the anti-Ethiopia Egypto-Somalia military pact has brought the conclusion of the Ethio-Somaliland MOU into immediate urgency. Hence, barring any new dramatic development, implementation of the MOU is now a forgone conclusion.

3. While the world is dragging its feet regarding the rights of Somalilanders to nationhood, Puntland is following the path of Somalland. Puntland just opened what amounts to an Embassy in DC, USA. I have said many times, that Puntland doesn't want to have anything with the chaos and terrorist infested no man's land Somalia. So, all of you foolish and uninformed cheer leaders of Hassan Sheik and Al-Sisi need to go through a steep learning curve on this cascading unfoldment of the Horn of Africa.

4. We have now arrived at that historical moment when both friends and enemies of Ethiopia would have recognize that without an Ethiopian strong navy the security of the Red Sea Bab El-Mendeb is an illusion. Therefore, all those that want to see a secure and safe sea lane in that part of the world need and must come to the side of Ethiopia.

Eritrea and Somalia are acting very stupid.

Do they really believe they can solve the relationship problem they have with Ethiopia by being a proxy to Egypt? Brick heads.

That solidify the argument that ethiopia should close the border with Eritrea and deport all Eritreans from Ethiopia.
If the government is reluctant to do it then people should take the matter on their own hands.
These people aren’t good. Don’t give them support. Let them go to Egypt and live there.

2. Eritrea: it is because of ሻውያ I don’t think all eritreans acknowledge what ሻውያ and its cadres are doing. Unless they build north korean kind of brutal dynasty ሻውያ should age and die. Unfortunately no people left in that land to generate new idea bs most youth either migrated or in Sawa barracks.
EPLF started to exploit Ethiopia at the time of TPLF. We remember Eritreans in addis with shabia funded investments including large coffee agriculture in Limu and exported coffee like coffee growing country. They spoke broken english like a foreigner but refused to speak Amharic although they looked like one of us and ate injera, kitfo, shuro more than us. Then the infighting bn TPLF and EPLF erupted for reason sometimes not clear to mainland majority until now and TPLF comited crime by deporting all eritreans babies and elderly included. TPLF kept quite when EPLF committed atrocities on Ethiopians who were in Eritrea when EPLF contolled power, neither did TPLF support ethiopians who were chased out of eritrea who were destitute in Addis.
Shabia thought its own creation OLF/PP/OPDO came to power and got trapped by same idea Ethiopia will rent Asab, eritrean will live in Ethiopia and shabia can control ethiopian politics but the syncpophant bashash man wanted a respirocal service for its genocide in Amhara region. The trouble was never between ethiopian and eritrean people who still have the potential to live together. The problem is ideological and political through which comes the concept of who exploits the economy and who is superior.
We don’t see any warm ethioeritrean relation as far as the ሻውያ guys are in place.
