Gurage not a tribalist. Hardly agreeable with your position.
If ESFNA practiced equality, they should nominally have displayed inclusiveness in solid 40 years. I think there exists too much showing of Amara pride because TPLF whacked it and are taking revenge on their closest tribe around them because TPLF is not near them.
Now Gurage has become an inconvenience to Amara narrow nationalists for asking inclusiveness. They shouldn't battle ESFNA. Enough is enough. They asked for Gurage culture show inclusion. Denied with a resounding, NO.
Gurage should start to carve out its separate path. Amara has its own problem of galvanizing Amara into a united force. These problems are clearly stated. To me this has been clear before the year 2000s.
Time Gurages understand the Amara situation and start creating its own path, for more or less similar goal of achieving justice, equality and democratic unity of Ethiopia. Gurage has tons of problems than Amara, indeed more than any other group of Ethiopia. Time to focus resolving its multitude of religious, linguistic, peace problems all pulling it in many directions to fracture it.
They should form their own community sports association in North America. It will be much smaller crowd than they were used to but its ok to learn to live with it. That's just fits its size.

The question should not about between Gurage and Amhara. Amhara is not the one that stops Gurage from getting its own ክልል or the one that shot Gurage Women carrying water pots point blank. In stead of yelling and barking at Amhara after chewing dozen of ጫት and bottles of beer, why do not fight the fight to earn Kilil or take a revebge aganisnt those who shot Gurage women, disgracefully call out Gurages to parise Abiy Ahmed. Amhara people at least are mowing down OLF army and are freed majority of their lands. Where is this Khat addict, while Adere and Gambella with a fewer than hundreds thousand population became ክልል, yet Gurage with population more or equivalent to Tigre thrown into "Other identity basket"? Unless he is fanatic Muslim Silte wearing fake mask to spread mistrust by referring Amhara, is this music and dance not something he often get in the night clubs of his down town after Khat in the evening

I have no idea what the youth under 35 is doing in Gurage. They see and hear Gurages are slaughtered right in their own villages, towns and cities. Their properties burned and or looted. Homes seized and owners displaced in Welkite by thugs.They brought chaos to their doorsteps. Still, they could not put up a fight. extend prevention or deterence. Everyone in Gurage knows who the criminals are, where they come from , where they hide and when and where they attack.
The mystery behind Gurage pacifism is not clear. Certainty there exists that the government has lukewarm attitude to the criminals if they are not its killer squads.

I do not know for sure the management of ESFNA is all Amara individuals. They may dominate in financial contrulibution and membership of management. Certainly not all management is Amara. I know one Oromo Lawyer who was invited to Board od Directors. That was in the 2010s.

I strongly believe it's time. Things must have boiling outside of public notice. Now, the lid is lifted. Gurages felt disrespected but did not walk out and run away.
