you mean shops where people trade their dollar to birr. how is this different from the black market places during weyane time. those shops can buy the dollar at any rate which will further devaluate the birr. but I wish you and your crook mentor good luck

You have a great point. However, the likes of Horus and DDT are so confused that they think(believe) this new dollar policy is a remedy for all the ailments in Ethiopian economy.

This new policy and its timing has no positive impact on the economy, none at all.
Our issue is productivity, we don't make enough of anything whether for local consumption or export, mainly due to lack of democracy and security. We are a war society, all our efforts are to fight one another. All the successive governments starting with derg promoted division and internal conflicts to stay in power and loot. And naive individuals aka wutaf nekais buy the sweet propaganda designed to prolong dictatorship and corruption without any analysis. Ignorance is too expensive, the 33 billions of birr on superficial makeup of the city is a great example of it. 33 billion couldn't even get you a proper drainage pipe?

Who are the people going after the US dollars and where are they taking it?
The 99.9% of Ethiopians are not part of the dollar music.

I think, Ethiopia, a country ruled by the democratically-elected Prime Minister Mike Hammer, has earned the right to become the 51st state of the United States.
