ሀገራት የሚከተሉትን የገንዘብ ፖሊሲን በሚመለከት በዓለም ላይ በርካታ አመለካከቶች ቢኖሩም በዋናነት በዚህ ጉዳይ ላይ የመንግሥት ሚና ምን መሆን አለበት በሚለው ላይ ያለውን አመለካከት ግን በሁለት መክፈል ይቻላል። በአንድ በኩል በጥቅሉ ገበያውን እንደ ወሳኝ እና ራሱን የሚያርም መሣሪያ የሚያዩ ባለሙያዎች የገንዘብ ፖሊሲ ሙሉ በሙሉ ለገበያው መተው አለበት ችግሮች ሲፈጠሩ እንኳን ገበያው ራሱን በራሱ እያረመ ያስተካክለዋል ሲሉ በሌላ በኩል ደግሞ የገንዘብ ፖሊሲን በሚመለከት የማዕከላዊ ባንኮች ቀጥተኛና ንቁ ተሳትፎ እንደሚያስፈልግ የሚከራከሩ ባለሙያዎች አሉ።

በመርሕ ደረጃ የውጪ ምንዛሬ በገበያ ወይም በማዕከላዊ ባንኮች እንዲተመን ማድረግ በራሱ እንደተሳሳተ የፖሊሲ አማራጭ ተደርጎ ሊወሰድ አይችልም፡፡ እንደዚህ አይነት ፖሊሲዎች መለካት የሚችሉት አንድን ሀገር ወደየት ነው መውሰድ የምንፈልገው? እና ምን አይነት እድገት ነው የሚያስፈልገን በሚሉት ቁልፍ ጥያቄዎች ላይ ይመሠረታል።
እንደ ኢዜማ ላለ በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ማኅበራዊ ፍትሕ እንዲሰፍን ለሚሞግት እና እድገት ሁሉንም የሕብረተሰብ ክፍል ያካተተ መሆን አለበት ብሎ ለሚያምን ፓርቲ ምርጫው ብዙ ከባድ አይሆንም። የገንዘብ ፖሊሲን ጨምሮ አጠቃላይ ሀገራዊ የምጣኔ ሀብት እድገትን በሚመለከቱ ጉዳዮች መንግሥት በቀጥታ እና በንቁ ሁኔታ ጣልቃ መግባት ካልቻለ ከጥልቅ ድኅነት መውጣትም ሆነ ማኅበራዊ ፍትሕን ማረጋገጥ እንደማይቻል ፓርቲያችን በፅኑ ያምናል።

For those of you who didn't get a clear idea of economic systems around the world: there are two to three systems of economic models.

- Command Economy: a centrally planned economy where the the central instance prescribes how much should be produced and at what cost.

- Market-led Economy: where the government in the country (or a central instance) restricts itself in creating viable economic environment and totally withdraws itself from the any sort of economic planning, it can compete in the free market to produce and consume the products and service. No regulations with regard to the price of the products/services.

- Mixed Economy: Where the central instances still restrict in facilitating the economic activities to regulate itself (market led) but opts to interfere in key economic sectors and bring some sort of regulations. China could be a good example in this regard.

EZEMA clearly favored the command economy and identified itself as a proponent of this form of economic system, which probably found only in Cuba or North Africa today (forgetting the insignificant Eritrea next door, which makes no contribution to the world economy).
