Five Possible Destinies of Ethiopia Based on the Spectrum of Oromo Politics!
One thing must be clear, no more come back of Amara Naftagnas and Tegaru Hegemonists will be allowed to Finfinne palace. Both must be checked continously and for that purpose, all Oromo forces in the political spectrum must cooperate and act in unison. It is good that the OLF is now acting in all the three routs: as rebel OLA, as opposition OFC and as ruling OPP. Especially, infiltrating the ruling OPP and doing the job of bilisummaa is more pragmatic than acting as rebel or opposition. Based on the spectrum of Oromo politics, the future result can be:
– an independent Oromia as originally planned by the OLF of Ob. Galaasaa.
– con-federated Oromia as now persued by OLA of Jal. Marroo.
– ethno-federated Oromia as envisioned by OFC of Dr. Marara.
– geo-federated Oropia as wished by certain Oromo elites like Dr. Nagassoo as he joined Andinet party.
– an integrative Oropia (transformation of Ethiopia to Oromumma Led country by promoting Afaan Oromo to primary working language of the country) as originally aimed by Dr. Haile Fida
Otherwise, simply put, Ethiopia has now five options as persued by five types of political forces currently active in the country:
– Amharigna dominated geographical federation as aimed by Ezema of Dr Berihanu.
– Amharigna dominated multinational federation as envisioned by EPP of Dr. Abiy.
– confederated states as planed by OLF of Ob. Daud.
– Oromiffaa led multinational federation as envisioned by OFC of Dr. Marara.
– Oromiffaa led geographical federation as promoted by Dr. Haile Fida of Meison.
Which of the five destinies shall prevail? Time will show us. Fact on the ground is that the first two goals are pushed by pro-Amharanet forces, whereas the last two are persued by pro-Oromummaa forces. These two camps are antagonistic to each other. The middle compromise solutuion for pro-Amharanet bloc and pro-Oromummaa camp seems to be the third option accepted by the OLF, TPLF, ONLF and other liberation fronts. When I see the vehement hatered the pro- Amharanet forces have against the legitimately and naturally Oromummaa led Ethiopia, it looks that OLF’s vision is enevitable.
