It won't work in current Ethiopia. It is the government that is running the black market due to its unlimited need of hard currency and the supply shortage of dollars. It's satan Mamo Killo and his PP demons that are flying capital out of the country. The only solution is to remove them from Ethiopian society, they're cancerous.

You and co. were blabbering about the true rate of $:ETB = 120. You post here about $ 1 = 114 ETB, 6 Birr less than the former value, it headed to the downside, not the upside at least so far. Are you a direction blind creature?

To predict the heading of towards 250 Birr, it has to turn around first the direction, idiot!

DFT you and other PP cadres like Ermiyas crook were selling the decision to let the birr freely compete with the dollar is to bring more dollar to the nation, but the truth is people are flocking to the banks with millions of birr to buy dollar. this caused the dollar to go up causing further deflation of the birr not to mention the inflation. what you are doing is like planting tree on a concrete and expecting it to grow. you are clueless.
