I have read martin Bernal's Black Athena volumes. He did not prove you right. State the page in Vol.3. I could not miss anything on Gurage, you [deleted] of the Gallas! He agreed with other historical linguists who concluded that ancient Egyptians spoke a Cushitic language whose origin was southeast Ethiopia, pointing to an area near Dire dawa.

Gurage is not birthed by Sidam language and Geez. Sidama languages is no more used. It's old, rotten old like yourself.
Earlier linguists used the word Sidama to describe Highland West Cushitic languages such as Kembata and Hadiya, and their smaller dialects such as Mareqo and Kebena. Gurage has a shared grammar and vocabulary. It's born out of Geez and these Highland West Cushitic languages.

I would like to share a view of a Gurage linguist who teaches semitic languages at Awasa University. His name Fekede Minuta. He is the author of the Gurage Fider. He is the latest creator of the attachments to write Gurage in Geez scripts. I hate him. I loathe him, because he rather creates dialect nationalism by refusing to work on common standardized Gurage.

However, there is a rare good view of his that also conflicts with his mission of creating attachments so that every dialect can write its own instead of a standard common Gurage.

He asks us to use only the word Gurage, but not specifying differences by saying Kistane Gurage, Sebatbet Gurage, Welene Gurage, etc.
He is saying this to further unity. Let's not dwell on regions and dialects. He says let's refer to us ourselves just as a Gurage.
I read his work today. Do the same. Try to know more about Gurage. You're losing your roots.
