Everything said about Ethiopian airlines in the tweet below is 100% correct. But the real reason Shabia bans the airline is that the it demanded payment in hard currency and it would stop flying to/from Asmera.
The route was only used to pick up passengers from Asmera, and no dropping off. So it was a one way business with no profit.

Amichew, you seem upset. I'm merely suggesting since Eritrea doesn't have income and lives on taxing its diaspora, alternative payments in the form of raw mateirlas found in abundance in your country can contribute to payment such as gallons of camel manure.. isn't that why they call Eritrea the pooop nation..
