Glittering road lights, parks and big palace don't represent societal or developmental change

Were these changes what the nation expected to habppen about five years ago? It is a farce. There is no change in the country. There is wealth and power transfer in the name of change. Remember when TPLF was in power? Trucks, diggers, excavators were moved to Tigray from the south day and night. NGOs were told to begin to do good Samaritan work beginning in Tigray. Any startup was shown to go to Tigray. Scaffoldings rose in Addis. There rose unfinished building. There rose some fascinating marble buildings and hotels. We started to see new names for buildings. Axum building, Warit building, hiwot building, Ezana trading........You know where those tribal names were. The same now. You have ethnic banks to discriminate. The taller will insult you for not speaking Oromifa when you request their service. The biggest is Oromia bank. All Oromos with dollar capacity are informally or formally asked to invest in Ethiopia. We know of friends of that kind with dollar capability going to Addis, borrowing hassle free money investing in buildings, exports...simply because it is that ethnics time and those in key positions speak their language and their way. Addis is made to glitter firstly to confuse the public and the misguided to serve a propaganda to say Ethiopia is changing. Secondly, it is part of Oromia. Through "change" they cause demographic shift. They destroy the identity of the people and the culture (called domicide, urbicide) and replace it with theirs or destroy the memory they don't like from history shelf. Basically, they may construct a dam or something in Amhara region simply for propaganda reason to show that Amhara is developing under Oromuma but the anti-development is Fano. There is not much, most investment is in the ethnic Ghetto called Oromia-anyone can take time to compile a document on the pattern of development, power distribution, office holders etc. in the country and show if it is done in equitable way or fair way. The military is an ethnic military dominated by one ethnic/Oromo-Oromuma committing atrocities on ethnics it does not represent.
We remember the Derg/Mengistu regime was doing the city decoration with good intent. Addis was filled with fountains, art works, statues, shining lights even better than now. There were parks. All that was the government wished development and gone with them. Government initiated development does not go anywhere. It is for corruption, usually there is something behind it. It is not sustainable, like the new railroad we hear struggling now. That is why government must be staked in policy making and regulating not investing by itself because of the unsustainability and corruption. If it invests, it should contract like roads, dams etc. to private agencies.
THERE WILL NEVER BE CHANGE IN ETHIOPIA WITHOUT PEACE, WITHOUT GOOD PLICIY, WITHOUT CITIZIN BASED POLITICS, WIHTOUT REMOVING ETHNIC BASED POLITICS AND CONSTITUTION, WITHOUT PRIVATIZATION, WITHOUT GOVERNEMENT REMOVING ITS HAND IN LAND OWENERSHIP, HOUSING ETC.
Without opening the country to outside investors (although Ethiopians should get upper hand).
The money they borrow is to share among themselves, there ethnics and prop up their power. Period. PP is an extremist Oromo party. A copycat of TPLF. TPLF was falsely painting the country was growing to middle income country simply by working for foreign governments; it will get money donation/borrowing and share among themselves while the foreign govts offer a propaganda while TPLF working for them. Now PP comes in, they are dividing what they have among themselves.
There is no change in the country, just substituting one ethnic with another ethnic hegemony and exploitation.
No real gov representing the country came to power after Mengistu, despite his shortcoming. In the past 40 years the name Ethiopia has different meaning depending on who uses the name, and it was used for robbing by people in power who in fact hate the country and the people outside their ethnics.
Where are the past leaders of the country and the family? Mostly live outside the country on their stolen money. The same is happening now, nothing has changed. Why are the generals killing the people and why are the political powerheads waging a civil war they will never win? it is power and money. It is not for the love of the country.
