why is that the world financial institutions become blood suckers? Once a time I asked to give me more elaboration on how and why our birr is devaluated, I asked whether it is in the interest of our banks or it is from outside pressure? The answer I got was it is based on government will, to help our economy. But the truth is come alive, the case is, We are here to deliver cheap products to world.

The government said willing to raise the salary of civil servants, but by how much? everything will go soar in price soon. Ethiopians living in the country couldn't buy exported products because its unimaginable prices' spikes.

how long will we tolerate such kind of devastation? when will we be independent of any external influencers?

It is an IMF imposed currency devaluation/depreciation conditioned to the recent IMF loan given to Ethiopian to fund the construction of a new royal palace and an amusement park in the capital, Addis Ababa.

Look at the bright side, at least the foreign diplomats in Addis will enjoy the newly built amusement park that they will be persuaded to tell the world about how genuine Ethiopian hospitality is towards foreigners. When you are carrying a huge amount of debt, self-image becomes more important than substance, and developing a prosperous national image becomes easier than the daunting task of achieving economic growth or development.

I have no idea what the black markets did before the float. Usd was always available to me via the banks. I could pay usd via my Naira debit card. It was after the float we had to source from the bm
