It can logically and conclusively argued that Ethiopia liberated Eritrea from Italy. Ethiopia created allies to help defeat Italian occupation of itself and further demanded that allies liberate Eritrea from Italy. The French, British and Ethiopian forces liberated Eritrea. The UN mandated British to administer Eritrea until it decides on its future.
But, there is no question that the liberation of Eritrea from Italy was the successful diplomatic and military efforts of Ethiopia.
