Doesn't really matter what they quote! It is what is felt that counts. Abiy has actually admitted that his Gentrification Projects add to the inflation but justified it with generic statement that the projects was employing people, never minding that the manufacturing initiatives that he wilfully and without reason stopped would have absorbed a large part of the unemployed, and would have done so, for years to come compared to one-time opportunities that Gentrification construction projects bring in.

Well, at least your criticism is reasonable; that is, it its an economic and policy priority analysis. I still have to see a single serious critic of this issue relative to agricultural and industrial expenditures.

The blind, hateful and stupid opposition to the project is purely political; that is, hating Abiy Ahmed & Oromuma = hating anything done by the regime and the result a totally reactionary, anti progress, anti-improvement dark negativity. Actually, this kind of state of mind is a mark of political failure. It is this reactionary anti-improvement lots who also claim to seize state power and become a ruling regime. Nothing can be more contradictory than this sort of double talk. The same reactionary noise opposes mechanized farming, the attempt at food self-sufficiency etc. Then, one asks - what is it that this reactionary noise want??????

Blame your mom for brainwashing, for making you hate and love parts of Gurage. For teaching you to silence all voices for Muslim victims of violence.
Stop being too sensitive on reports and condemnations of Christian or Kebena/Mareqo violences that happened this current year in Gunchirye and Welqite. Not old news. They have causes and perpetrators. These are ongoing violences victims of which are not yet rehabilitated.

Meles Zeradwa starved Addis Abeba until his death. Justified it by his principle of equitable distribution of cities development. He wanted to bring up regional cities to more or else to par with Addis. He poured monies on cities like Mekele, Jimma, Awasa, Dire Dawa, Jigjiga, Gondar while neglecting Addis Abeba's reasonable returns from its huge tax-base.

Meles Asres(true name of his dad), also saw Addis as a seat of oppression of nations of Ethiopia since its establishment. Therefore, he felt it was his duty to met out justice against it for providing comfort and harboring oppressors of nations.

Abiy does not rewrite Meles' misdeed to Addis. Weighed on tyranny scale, they weigh equal, more or less.

Why Abiy does what he does in his weirdly named Corridor Dev is stamping his legacy; something people will remember him for after he flees Ethiopia or dies by any means. As a soldier he knows that he can die anytime. And it doesn't bother him. He lives from dat-to-day. You can tell this from the speed at which the modernization projects travel. All these with in 6-8 months. As far as I know no public tenders were advertised. A contractor or contractors chosen do build by his agents and approved by him. Just like himself believes he is chosen, the 7th King God chose him to be as foretold by his mom.
