The cause of the Amhara Struggle is much bigger than Zemen and Eskender.

Eskender is part of Amhara’s survival struggle; he is one among millions. Whether Eskender becomes the leader of Fano or not is not the issue. The issue is whether the Amhara's questions of survival are being answered and whether the politics of Amhara alienation from Ethiopian politics and power by TPLF, OLF, and the Prosperity Party ,led by Abiy and Shimeles will be forced, one way or another, to ensure that the policies and constitutional means they designed and instituted to target Amharas will be dismantled without any preconditions.
The local chieftains defending the far corridors in their region are not going to bring a lasting solution to Amhara suffering in Ethiopia. Being painted a hero in and of itself is not an end. If the majority of Fano decide Eskender is the man to lead, that is their prerogative and should be respected. Raising the scarecrow EZEMA and labeling Eskender as such is disingenuous and counterproductive. Eskender can be given any position in the Fano structure and still contribute tremendously to the cause of Amhara. Zemen has his own qualities, as do all the other Fano leaders, and Eskender has his unique qualities to further the cause of Amhara.
Instead of asking who is leading, ask how they are leading. If they try to water down the questions of Amhara in any way, whoever it might be, including Eskender or Zemen, should be ousted. The struggle was not launched to feed the egos of a handful of individuals; it was launched to address the plight of the women, children, and unarmed Amharas who were buried alive in their huts because of who they were. So grow up and move beyond emotional fiddling.
