Mario, what did wutaf neqay opportunist Horus did to you?
He doesn't understand change in political paradigm. He can't explain why Gurage is not in Arat Kilo like it was during the despot monarch Haile.
He doesn't understand why Mengistu walked back on the funding promise of a birr for birr deal for the Gurage Roads Construction. The promise was: If the people of Gurage raised a $1million birr, Ethiopia would match it by an equal amount. Mengistu angered by lack of support from Gurage, almost all Gurage youth supporting EPRP, stopped the funding upon the realization of this fact.
The second major tribe in Southwest Ethiopian to Gurage, Sidama, political pragmatist politicians of that tribe, seeing this political space vacated by Gurage, went rushing for the gold and pledged support to Mengistu's Ethiopia Tiqdem. Sidama reaped the benefits. Investments poured int to develop Araba Minch, Awasa, etc.
Sidama exactly did the same with TPLF. When the politics change from socialism to a whole new concept of ethnic politics, Sidama politicians quickly realized and adapted to it. They gave TPLF all the comfort it needed. Sidama did not care it disappointed the Oromo that gave it its name Sidama. They did not care about OLF. In fact, OPDO embraced them as supporters because their senior partner TPLF appreciated Sidama support. Abate Kisho awarded to rule all southwest tribes including Gurage, about 15 million in the newly developed Capital City of Awasa. Weliso, Welkite, Butajira, any one of them would have been Awasa, Horus' political intelligence would allow him to be adaptive.
Gurage had a better chance than Sidama. It was in the EPRP camp with Amaras and Tigrays. When TPLF defeated EPRP in assemba by killing those it needed to kill, the bulk of Amara EPRP members were re-educated and re-branded as ANDM. The surviving Gurage members of the EPRP had the same opportunity to be re-educated and form a Gurage National Democratic Front.
I can't imagine TPLF did not want to get supporting population of Gurage by creating groups that mirror TPLF's ideology in Gurage. I suspect, Gurage Ethiopianists and communists shunned TPLF; thereby making themselves hard nuts to crack and re-educate.
I am sure those political retards passed their genes to my low political IQ Pagan Horus. Instead of blaming their inflexible, unadaptive and unpragmatic political views, they blame TPLF why it does not see Ethiopia as they see it.
Losers!
