The degree of hatred by Ethiopia toward Gurages warrants exit from it. Why is it that this option is never considered?

Gurage have lost all their land to Oromo so how can they exit Ethiopia?

That option has never been explored because it means extinction.
With all the bluster, the smaller ethnic groups be it Tigray, Sidama, Gurage etc are nothing but dust without Ethiopia.
Only in the context of Ethiopia that the smaller ethnic groups thrive.
Only the Amaharas and the Oromos to a degree can go it alone and succeed.
The Guraghies should be grateful that they have a wiser and gentler ethnic group (the Amharas) in Ethiopia are on the union side.

The vehicle, the mechanism of land lose from Gurage is part of Ethiopia's persecution of Gurage that it should fight Ethiopia against it.

Gurage will not fight Amara, Oromo or any other tribe. Gurage's persecutor is the Ethiopian gov that Gurage should fight against its oppression.

Such depth of hate for Gurage, you're just the tip of the iceberg. This phenomenon is exactly what Gurage should use as catalyst for independence.

Dama is a single person with a motive. You may direct your anger to him if he offended you with his post. He may belong to a splinter group with agenda or just trying to push an agenda he thinks is a gurage issue. The way he approaches it I don’t personally agree. However calling the whole gurage names bs of individual opinion where that person may not have a decision making capacity is overgeneralization & like throwing out the baby with the bath water. Some of the gurages have been fighting alongside the Amara cause tooth and nail whichever way they can. You are a single person and no body should generalize what you say to any group of ethnic Amhara or Fano. You should be responsible to defend your idea. That is a more civilized way of discussion. Calling a whole ethnic gurage a parasite is an insult to everybody and that also easily exposes the depth the maturity of your talk. This is a sensitive time all of us who want to save the country need to be careful. Those with breakaway plan of course can walk the same road TPLF/OLF walked bashing everybody on their way and with a feeling of supermacy.

Gurage needs us to work together. We have abandoned Gurage for the last 135 years, since Gurage was forcibly annexed to Ethiopia thru the kingdom of the criminal Shoa by the barrel of the gun. We lost our independence to decide what's good for us. We are being ethnically cleansed from all south Ethiopia cities, from Awasa, Shashemene, Addis Abeba, Jima, Dire , Harar, Jijiga. Shockingly and brazenly from our own cities of Weliso and Welkite. Our enemy has come to the door of our house to evict us. Ethiopia that we trusted partly by choice and partly to minimize further loss, for protection and prosperity believing the larger community the better, is working against us. We are losing lands, lives and properties. We can stop it if we believe Ethiopia is no more our country because it has treated as an enemy population.

Lets fight to restore our citizenship rights in Ethiopia, if not out right declaration of independence. Our rights have been molested enough Ethiopia cannot go back on its resolve to restore them. Ethiopia is and will remain a sworn enemy of Gurage.

Why in the world a Gurage says “we will not fight Amhara”?. What brought the idea of fighting Amharas who is not invading or even living in Gurage land. It is the Guraghies from the day they were born migrates with all their siblings to wherever the Amharas are living. Very ungrateful and stupid.
This ethnic nationalism that has been eating all these people from smaller ethnic groups will kill them slowly.
Unless the union is strong, the smaller groups will be irrelevant.

Is Gurage alone to fight the oppression of Ethiopia? No. There is no fear of being alone or not winning the war. Every Ethiopian is armed and fighting Ethiopia's oppressions in one way another.

Eritrea exited Ethiopia and declared independence since Ethiopia's toward Eritreans was a safety risk just the same as toward Gurages. Eritreans were individually and collectively assaulted physically, killed, their properties looted or burned.

Tigrey, Oromo, Somali and Afar all fought Ethiopian injustices. Most obtained semi-autonomous status. Abiy Ahmed's centralist dictatorship policy to remove the semi-independence status of Tigrey almost toppled his government. Oromo is likewise resisting Abiy Ahmed's authoritarian regime. Ogadenia or Ethiopian Somalia are also fighting Abiy Ahmed's centralist government. Afar is on guard. Amara's Fano are not happy how Ethiopia deconstructed the privileges of Amara obtained by usurping the resources and powers of other ethnic groups since Menelick2nd of Shoa, a Hebrew word which means a place of hell or holocaust, the southern frontier of Abyssinia where criminals and undesirables of the north were deported to. Gurage's dealing with Fano will be coordinated with rest of comrades-in arms for a newer Ethiopia for a New Deal or else exit and usher sovereign nations.

Gurage will be able to organize and unite groups surrounding its geography as our ancestor did. We all have a common enemy and solution. It's just natural that we will coordinate our collective efforts toward the same goal of liberation from Ethiopia's oppressions. We are united by almost the same cultures and by shared languages. These groups are Kebena, Mareqo, Kambata, Halaba and Tambaro, Silte, Azernat and Zway, and Hadiya.
