During the 1984, first ever Scientific Population Census of Ethiopia, Eritrea province had a total population of 2,6215,566 million – when rounded up nearly 3 million. Since 1984, solid 40 years had passed, and the population of Eritrea should have been between 6 – 7 million. But it is now estimated at 3.2 million almost the same size as it was 40 years ago. The question is where has the 4 million gone. A place without people is not called a place. Who carried out genocide on the 4 million Eritreans. I was assuming that out migration might have slashed the numbers. Because population, but death due to war, violence and impoverished life could have claimed a heavy toll.
