No body realy predicts who they will marry. It is just one of the things life operates on us. She could have married any one. Situations, time, space, supernatural fate if you are a believer makes a match. Men go after beauty and women mostly go after security. Whoever is fit wins. With internet and other media the world is a small place. You just may take you a click to initiate conversation with a partner and boom what follows who can predict.
So showcasing who married who is really non hairbrainer unless some one has another motive to do so. Well done lovebirds if the pairing is for the same reason!

Even in the 60's, 50's and way beyond that, international, interracial marriages happened. Travels for business, living in the same polity, exodus seeking safer places, all contribute to the unusual. Who would have thought, fir example, talkative Obang Metho, as dark as a charcoal, not fluent in Amharic, when he speaks English you barely understand him due to his minority Anywak accent, would be invited by Welkite University to give Tutu style, I mean wiser God lecture!!
When I traveled in South Sudan, I spend a week in Juba. I found one very fair-colired Tegaru woman married a South Sudanes. With children all that. She was an Addis Abebe arada lij!. Her husband was a refugee in Addis who then returned to his homeland.
