My take on Kenya protests is that Ruto mismanaged the tax bill. He should have researched and measured public reception of the bill way before it was written.
He also used violence against peaceful protesters provoking protesters to engage in small form of property destructions such tearing Ruto's Kenya flag.

This tax bill, the protests that followed and the violence against peaceful demonstraters will end his dream of being elected for the second term. If all goes well!
