Why is "the source of life" the largest recipient of Western aid in the world? Since 1952, and for the last 72 years, the country loosely stitched together by aid has been at the mercy of Western donors whose interests takes precedence over its own. It is fair to say that the country is actually the source of all that ails the Horn of Africa.
