No, not at all! you are defending your cause and me too. But you miss the point. I have tons of videos showing how western economies are doomed, people are complaining everywhere from England to Canada, from France to Germany and of course including America. Yes, this new proposed bill will temporarily address only one major issue individuals like you have. That is the issue of envy and jealousy towards diaspora and their families in Ethiopia because they live a better life. Even then, those people will continue to enjoy their standards of living as long as the source of their income exists, which is living in the diaspora and earning their income in foreign currency. The diaspora will continue supporting their family back home no matter what. Now it will only be cheaper as the Birr will be devalued further due to the new proposed bill. And using the black market is really justified if one doesn't think about acquiring long-term wealth like real estate property. So what will the people do when they get money from the diaspora, spend it like crazy on entertainment and food, directly skyrocketing the inflation. Since this people stop investing on construction or any valuable work, the unemployment gets exasperated. So the already dead economy will disappear and the poor gets poorer and the families with diaspora source will flourish further.
At the end, the temporary solution you think you got from the bill will further increase your jealousy and envy towards those people in diaspora and their families back home.
With all seriousness though, will the government confiscate homes and drive the owners into homeless? Cause no homeowner can provide evidence of getting their property with a legitimate income? They never saved their receipts of the last ten years. And all the economy is still conducted without any digital trace. Stupid bill. It will help divide society and scare both foreign and domestic investment. It encourages capital flight to safe heavens, Dubai and USA. Kudos to satan Mamo Killo!

you think diasporas are successful and the locals are not? haaha, that is so funny, the underlying cause of this is the exchange rate that is existed between dollar and birr. Can you imagine what could happen if one dollar is equal to one birr? nobody will go to America, for what ?
we(locals) are suffering because the imported goods are so much expensive and draining our money. but diasporas are using the exchange rate advantage to enrich themselves, this is not fair.
To solve this problem:
