He is Prof Teshome Abebe's son. Well done to both of them!

Re: PROF. DANIEL ABEBE - DEAN OF COLUMBIA SCHOOL OF LAW!
I don't know both of them and I am not familiar with how people become a Dean of a university in the US. But association says something, both scientifically and in the traditional wisdom. Statistics deals with the idea of association of two phenomena, while our age old traditional wisdom uses the adage "tell me your friend and I will tell you who you are", a fitting description of a natural law.
If the "professor" (there are way too many of them in America today) is someone who rushes to the likes of this guy's media (እንኩሮ is how it is called by many from Ethiopia) to celebrate his son's academic achievement, then I am very much suspicious of his caliber as an academician.
There are many who have the title but also lack any sort of standing on the scientific discipline they claim to represent. In that case, "well done" could be an over statement.

The well done is only for bring up a successful child as it requires hard work. As for his association with the infamous preacher of genocide, I wouldn't be surprised if he has similar hateful attitude.DefendTheTruth wrote: ↑19 Jun 2024, 13:32I don't know both of them and I am not familiar with how people become a Dean of a university in the US. DDT,
I don't believe you have a clue about what it take to enter the doors of Harvard Law and exit in one piece. So, please practice humility; it will save a lot unpleasant self-exposure.

I know many idiots that graduated from Harvard. They should not have gone there to start with. Some of them are on food stamps now
Overrated crap. Most of them are incapable to go back up when they go down

Horsu,
the man could be the most brilliant person on the planet (I said I don't know him and his alleged son), in which case he must also have been a unique creature to have associated himself with (and appreciated) the dumbest creature I have come to know, which Messay Mokonnon is. A professor appreciate this creature?
Give me a break!
Re: PROF. DANIEL ABEBE - DEAN OF COLUMBIA SCHOOL OF LAW!
Give a break to DDT. Ignore him.
He is judging the professor vis a vis Messy Mekonen.
You can’t teach stupid.

It seems the Professor had approached, the same way Dr. Yonas Birru did and failed, unsuccessfully to garner some sort of compaction from the center of power in the country. So, he too could be someone who is venting his disappointment at all junctures.
A most brilliant prof. wouldn't write something like the following without trying to corroborate the allegation, considering the gravity of the problem.
The prof. seems to be contented with the usual hearsay of current day Ethiopian politics, like yourself! We have learned that the EPRDF made the country a scrap yard for poorly made products and waste material in the form of chemicals. The pictures of heaps of unusable products purchased in search of commissions for the well connected is simply grotesque. They have scarred the landscape, and will no doubt poison the soil and water.
Please list the publications of the professor in his main profession of Economics and his occasional engagement in politics, I would like to learn more.
