Your observation is more or less true. That is why we work hard on Amhara Nationalism. Tigray built its nationalism base 50 years ago and it has been active ever since. Oromos started it 70 years ago and got a lot of traction the last 33 years and that nationalism enabled them to enter 4 kilo.

Amhara nationalism need to come out of the disfunct good for nothing Ethiopian nationalism to save Amharas and compete with the rest of Nations and Nationalism in the playing field of Ethiopian politics

We faced stiff resistance when we understood and started Amhara nationalism. Ethiopianist talkatives made the biggest noise, trash talk and damage to us when we started. But ever since Oromuma kicked them, they understood that they are orphans and have zero leverage on our direction.

Amhara nationalism managed to wake up 10% of Amhara society. With 10% it already shock the foundation of both TPLF and Oromuma. Their hidden Pretoria agreement is to twart this movement because if 50% Amharas accept our brand of nationalism, we can send both to the deep where they will never both come out again.
