I know this is a big title for two pieces of geopolitical events. But it puts things in context when I think about the various variables of the Horn dynamics. Now, what is the meaning of Kenya becoming the America proxy is the Sudan? Is it true that Russia is establishing a military (Navy) base in the Sudan? Is it true that US & Eritrea are working in secret for an America military base in Eritrea? And, what does all this mean for Ethiopia, RSF, UAE, etc?

I am not a student of geopolitics. However, when I heard news that Biden invited Kenya to become a non-NATO ally, it sounded he imagined a delicate dance between superpowers by growing strategic alliances as an affront to emerging deep ties between China and Russia.

One would wonder if he imagined growing NATO to ATO (Atlantic Treaty Organization) by trying to align Africa with Europe and North America and then to PATO (Pacific-Atlantic Treaty Organization) by trying to have India align with it instead of aligning with China. It makes you wonder because an African non-NATO ally would naturally start from West Africa instead of East Africa. Starting with a country in East Africa sounded like he has his eyes also on the Indian Ocean.

Then again, this is a layperson’s reaction to the news of the invitation for Kenya to become the first non-NATO ally country from Africa.
