Could Abiy Ahmed regret to have made a promise to please his Masters by betraying Ethiopia's long-term interest selling down the Ethiopian's victory of defeating Woyane? If he could go back in time what would be the one thing he could change in his relation with Amhara Fano, now the insurmountable force defeating ENDF in every battlefield in Amhara region?
__ If one objectively assesses what happened following the so-called Pretoria or "Hammer deal" is:
a) Primarily, Abiy Ahmed irrecoverably lost Public trust and lost his stature of leadership. Integrity is the cornerstone of success. Abiy Ahmed lost integrity in the eye of the public. Very impossible to move after one severely lost integrity.
b) The National Defense Force "ENDF" has become the laughing stock of the world. The so-called ENDF (which most Ethiopians are no more referring by its name but calling it OLF-ENDF, taking criminal engagement killing, raping, looting citizens by breaching of its grand mission of protecting sovereignty of Ethiopia and safety of citizens) lost its relevance. Citizens are now treating "ENDF" as rebel bandit, no more national defense force of a national institution. ENDF committed suicide and already disbanded itself and its existence.
c) Abiy Ahmed and his "ENDF" force has been decisively defeated in Amhara region. It took less than two weeks to defeat Woyane ( a notorious Western supported criminal thug), but not even One Year is enough to subdue Amhara Fano. The implication is clear: 1) Woyane was defeated by Fano not by ENDF 2) Abiy Ahmed has lost the fight in Amhara Region except holding pockets of urban areas. If he could have known he would be defeated in Amhara at such a scale, would he say "Yes", Sir. Hammer, I jump as much height as possible and risk my self? A sane person would not dare so, but an crazily insane person would do so and toss himself into the trash can.
He gambled his fortune away! Now, Pretoria is cancelled by Amhara; his army is defeated (l!cking its wound); the country is sinking in an ocean of poverty; his remnant Woyane is still in comma.
