"If you add to the truth, you subtract from it".

I think to have heard it but not sure who the source could be. There is no need to add to a truth, unless it is not definitely the truth. There is nothing after the truth to warrant an addition on the top, isn't it?
Amhara Media Corporation went out of its way and decided to air a documentary about Walkayit and surrounding regions. The region is contested between the Amhara and Tigray regions, as we all know.
The issue should have been dealt with in a legal manner, truth will be preserved no matter what. The Amhara region claimed the region was annexed to Tigray (using the then existed legal framework) and opted to re-annex it "illegally" (contravening the existing legal framework of the country). By doing so, it is much doubtful if the Amhara region has also won on the truth side, in addition to the territory on the ground that it "reclaimed" illegally.
If the territory belongs to the Amhara people (Kilil) like they claimed truthfully, then why the need to contravene with existing legal framework of the country and be in contradiction to the legal system of the country? Did they really win on the long run by doing so?
I am much in a doubt!
