Too many parks: why is that Abiy is obsessed with parks?

Post by Abaymado » 02 Apr 2024, 06:30

The number of parks built after Abiy in power is countless, why is that? For example the park area encompasses around 4 kilo parliament area are very huge, if this land was given for construction of skyrocketed buildings, it could bring billions of birr in revenue per year. But how much does this park bring?

It speaks volumes about Abiy's immaturity and icomptence that he revels in fancy things and imagines that parks and palaces will impress his people. In a country on the verge of disintegration as a result of ethnic fragmentation, devastating conflicts, dislocation of 5 million people, starvation, inflation and other woes, his obsession with
feel good projects is adding insult to injury. We can only commiserate with Ethiopians and hope they survive this charaltan's incompetence.

Well, we don't have issue with the number of parks being built in the city. In fact it is much better than erecting ugly skyscrapers. But parks should be the responsibility of Kebele administration at best or city administration (mayor's) at worst. There are a lot of pressing issues that must be addressed by the office of the prime Minister like peace and security, economy, international diplomacy and so many other grand issues. Yet this fake dr. Chooses to focus on the things he can only accomplish, park and parking lot maintenance.

Napoleon III got impressed by the parks in London during his visit in Britain. Upon his return, he didn't order to build parks but sort out first the mess and filth in Paris, which looked like a southern Italian city at the time.

Not only is this monkey a clown, but also, he's childish.
