TQuru sew was triumphant at the battle of Adwa in 1896. I laughed out when I watched the clip depicting menilik and taytu waving their alleged sword at the warfront.

In reality they were kilo metres away when the adwa war was waged. Those who were at the forefronts were ras michael of wello, ras teklehaymanot of gojam and ras mengesha yohannes of tigray.

Let's not re-write history.

Menilik's troops consisted of 120,000 well-armed with modern rifles and cannons vs. 32,000 italians among them 3,000 forcibly conscripted eritreans.

Both warring parties were carrying similar weapons. Hence, no wonder here.

Just to conclude,

After the end of the war, upon the insistence of abune matthewos, menilk ordered the cutting off of the right hand and left foot of the 432 eritrean war prisoners.

By the way many of them died when their limbs were savagely and brutally amputated.

What about the italian (white lol) captives? Thanks to the European governments.

The captive italians were spared from mutilation and were brought to entoto (addis) and they were reduced to being beggars in the streets of addis. Their italian government paid then indemnity (kahsa) of 10 million lira and were freed.

My source:

A book titled: EMPRESS TAYTU AND MENILEK II....ETHIOPIA 1883-1910.

It was authored by CHRIS PROUTY.

I bought the book from an addis bookshop in one of my visits to Ethiopia.

I recommend ethios to order it from amazon.

BTW, the author is pro-ethiopian and anti-italians.

Hmm…did you fly to Ethiopia from Eritrea or Europe? It’s strange that you discovered Chris Prouty in Addis.

If it’s okay to throw HIGDEF oppositions to jail & torture them to death, amputating a traitor is more than justified.

Winston Churchill said Dunkirk will be remembered as greatest achievement for the British even if the empire lives for over 1000 years. I say battle of Adwa is the greatest achievement in black people's liberation for 100,000 years, you can add whatever zeros to the year. And all the haters can sụck it...

Ihit/wendim,

Try to be polite when you discuss as a grown up person. Does it matter from where I landed?

I have few minutes here before I sign off for my Saturday billiards game.

Let me make something clear here:

I don't want to belittle menilik. Menilik was a shrewd far-sighted politician and many foreigners attest that.

1. Did you know from where he accumulated the modern rifles and cannons? It was from Italy. He played them and with their weapons, he defeated them. The italians never thought that he will declare war on them until the controversial article 17 of the wuchale accord which triggered the battle of Adwa occured.

2. He tricked atse yohannes when he promised him that he will be at metema to join him fight the mahdists. But he purposely remained behind while he was aware that if yohannes loses then he will ascend the throne without any doubt and that was what happened.

And many others.

Finally,

That's why I said he was a shrewd politician.

Ciao... See you perhaps tomorrow.
