Misleading Rhetoric

The infamous clown, Abiy Ahmed, parrots that Ethiopia needs a port of its own for its economic growth, and this rhetoric is completely misleading.
When Eritrea was occupied and both Assab and Massawa used to serve as transit ports for Ethiopia, the economic growth of Ethiopia was between 1% and 2%. While when Eritrea got its independence and Ethiopia has become entirely dependent on Djibouti's port, its economy has experienced strong broad-based growth averaging 9.4%.
He can't dare to claim to the West that Ethiopia needs a naval base, as it's ridiculous for a country that's dependent on international humanitarian food aid and that doesn't have a sea coast could necessarily need a naval base.
It's all about annexing a part of someone else's country, but Abiy cannot fool anyone.
