They resent being called "Black Africans," so much so that they treated the 200 Italian soldiers captured during the Adwa war as their "masters", while chopping off the hands and legs of the Black African soldiers forced to fight under the Italian colonial forces. On November 20, 1896, the Emperor released the 200 Italian POWs in honor of the Queen of Italy's birthday.

Jamaican Pan Africanist Marcus Garvey exhibited no admiration for Selassie. He condemned him as a “great coward” for fleeing Mussolini’s troops in 1935, when Italy invaded Ethiopia. He also criticized Selassie’s practice of slavery, which was not abolished in Ethiopia until 1942. In Garvey’s own words:
It is preferable for the Abyssinian Negroes and the Negroes of the world to work for the restoration and freedom of the country without the assistance of Selassie, because at best he is but a slave master. The Negroes of the Western World whose forefathers suffered for three hundred years under the terrors of slavery ought to be able to appreciate what freedom means. Surely they cannot feel justified in supporting any system that would hold their brothers in slavery in another country whilst they are enjoying the benefits of freedom elsewhere. The Africans who are free can also appreciate the position of slaves in Abyssinia [Ethiopia]. What right has the Emperor to keep slaves when all the democratic sections of the world were free, when men had the right to live, to develop, to expand, to enjoy all the benefits of human liberty? (1937, p.741)

These are the people we are dealing with—worthless nîggars who cut off the hands and legs of the people they address their cousins. Now they know why we don't need them.

The redemption was, though when we came back in 1945 we crushed his armies and chased the Medgit so-called king to his master’s home, England. Then 40 years later the ugly negro to Zimbabwe. The other one is downloading to…. UAE. Stay tuned!

The 200 Italian soldiers captured during the battle of Adwa were not accustomed to the raw meat diet enjoyed by Abyssinians, so the emperor sent a caravan of mules to purchase Western food items from the British soldiers stationed in Kenya to feed his Italian masters. Abyssinian hospitality at its finest! :P :P

Fighting Resumes Between Ethiopian Government and Militants

FILE - Fano fighters walk through a ransacked building in the Amhara region of Ethiopia, Dec. 7, 2021. Violence erupted March 1, 2024, between Ethiopian government forces and members of the militia.

March 01, 2024 2:27 PM By VOA News

Fighting broke out Friday between Ethiopian government forces and members of the Fano militia in Bahir Dar — the capital of the Amhara region — according to residents and the regional administration.

It’s the first bout of violence to erupt since the conflict's early days last year.

In a statement Friday, the Amhara government said that military and security forces were to engage in a "joint operation and house-to-house surveillance around Bahir Dar to sweep out the extremist force that had infiltrated into the city."

so you just can’t let go of the past?
It looks you are not driven by “love” or “good memories” of Ethiopia & Ethiopians. so what is your obsession with this people and country you despise?

They just can’t get over it. The decision to leave Ethiopia is regretted by these folks everyday. Ignored by Ethiopians, they are suffering from the “Ethiopian syndrome”, a chronic disease of Eritreans.
While the banana republic is dying a slow and agonizing death.

War-torn Ethiopia has no proven oil and gas reserves but Somali State has more than 100 billion barrels of oil reserves and Somalia has has the largest amount of oil and natural gas reserves in the world.

The U.S. estimates Somalia has more than 350 billion barrels of oil reserves, No wonder USA is obsessed with Somalia.
