What an embarrassment! They are working for themselves not for the # hunted people of Amhara. Why did it take them 4 or 5 years? Did not Abiy Ahmed straight up told Abebe Gellaw that his prime goal is to lock out Amhara from equal rights in Ethiopian political life? Why did not he start this satellite since then?

Words of caution: The detrimental impact of the G7 and its blind supporters on Ethiopia's national interests, exacerbating the suffering and loss of Amhara lives, cannot be overstated. The Amhara people have rightfully taken control of their destiny, and through their sacrifices, they are rightfully claiming their place in Ethiopian politics. Initially, many supported Abiy, but as his intentions became clear, most gradually distanced themselves. While some did not deny the crimes committed, they were slow to disassociate from him, naively believing it to be the cost of transition, despite no evident change apart from superficial ones. However, individuals like Berhanu Nega and his party defended the genocidal regime,covering the crime in so doing tarnishing the cause of Ethiopian unity. While we fully support the Amhara cause, which should be endorsed by all freedom-loving Ethiopians, to completely brand Ethiopian unity advocates as enemies would be counterproductive. The roles of political parties like EPRP, EZMA, TPLF, and BEDEN must be exposed and opposed. However, viewing all Ethiopians as adversaries and cutting off the overwhelming support from the Ethiopian unity camp to the Fano movement will not benefit the Amhara people. The vehement hatred towards Ethiopian unity advocates without distinction will hinder potential quick Amhara victories against its enemies. The Ethiopian unity camp possesses considerable resources, and relinquishing it entirely to anti-Amhara, and by extension, anti-Ethiopian factions due to a failure to grasp the nuances of Ethiopian politics, would be costly.

They are. Follow the money. Who is financing this satellite project? Definitely Egypt through Eritrea in exchange for instability and control. Fano must ignore or distance itself from this distraction.
By now all Ethiopians know who these opportunistic animals are: BERHANU Nega, Andy Tsigie, Neamin Zeleke, Tamagne Beyene, Abebe Gelaw etc.
They are making a good living out of the misery of Ethiopia. Sure they got their share (a big chunk) from the con artist and now they will try to do the same (2nd round) from Egypt and Eritrea.

How did I miss this interview. This should be sent to every FANO military and political leader, to Amaras, and to all real Ethiopians.

FANO is teaching us how to turn lemon in to lemonade. When FANO captures enemy combatants, they don't murder them. Rather, they teach them about how the OPDO government is working to disintegrate the country and, possibly turn the POWs against their former masters. In politics there are no permanent enemies and no permanent friends, but permanent interests. TPLF used Derg soldiers to topple the military regime. The shortest way to victory is through winning the hearts and minds of your enemies.

The FANO movement isn't against Ethiopia but for Ethiopia that is inclusive and democratic. Despite the pain caused by the Nega-unity camp against the Amhara people, it is wise to cautiously work with all Ethiopians to speed up the demise of the OPDO jingoism. Most Ethiopians initially supported the OPDO regime not knowing what was behind the façade. When they realized that they are played by the Abiy ill drama, they are turning to be his bitter enemies.

FANO isn't a movement that one can take for an easy ride. That eagerness for peaceful and prosperous Ethiopia is now a pipe dream for Amhara people. Their primary struggle is for their mere survival and, no force on this planet is potent enough to highjack the movement for trivial political end. The FANO ship is now sailing in a very different dimension and no opportunistic political overtures are able to change the course. The movement is real!!!
