I am 100% certain and the Saho are the one wrote an article or a book and they said Agame are not origin Tigray ethnic but Shahi ethnic converted to Tigray ethnic and adapted Tigrigna language and Orthodox and then some of the converted to Catholic.

The Agame mountainous region three ethnics, Gurage, Saho and Shahi:

The Shahi ethnic now called Agame clan stayed in their home but dropped their Shahi ethnic and language and converted to Tigray ethnic by adapting Tigray language, culture and religion. The Shahi ethnic are the most mobile people for work all over east Africa and middle east.
