This is a sad day,

As they say, there is always an end. Tesfalidet grew up among rich family, every eritrean grew up enjoying the biscuit of Enda Alem Meharena who happen to be the product of his family.

The selfless tesfalidet launched the first anti higdef website in 1997. Perhaps the first Eritrean. Later he helped and encouraged young youtubers such as mestiyat betna and Fanus gentlemen to establish their own websites and helped them technically.

Had tesfalidet were an egoist, he would have kissed the asz of higdef and would have lived in one of the villas in Asmara or Dekemhare which he has inherited from his father comfortably but not him, he said NO. He opted to stand with his hapless brothers and sisters.

P. S. I noticed in many eri-websites today, eris be it pro or anti higdef extending their heartfelt condolences to all eris in general and to the family of alem meharena in particular.

I am very saddened to hear the passing of Meharena. He was really a committed, ambitious, helpful, and culturally aware person.

His website asmarino.com was among the top websites after dehai.org and later also visafric.com that were Eritrea's face outwards to defend Eritrea's sovereignty and government's reputation against TPLF's aggressive lying propaganda that had a wide spread in the western corporate media at that time (1998-2000).

What most Eritreans know him for is also because he was the first to open a mIRC chat program which made it possible for many Eritreans to chat and share ideas and thoughts with each other. He usually actively participate in the talks there as well.

May he rest in peace and may God comfort his family, children and all who know him in this time of sorrow and bereavement.

I Know Him Very Well In Lamirada City Near Orange County Anaheim, Cypress City. We Used To Play Soccer In Cypress College With His Brother Berekhet Alem Meharena And Berekhet Wife Qidussan.
The Sad Story Is His Former Wife Died In Cancer 16 Years Ago And His Older Sister Committed Suicide In Long Beach City Around Almost Same Year. And He Became Pentte Dumping An Orthodox Christianity. He Married The Pentte Lady From Lamirada Or Alhambra City And Washed His Hand Like Pillatos Not To Get Involved In Eritrean Politics. His Older Brother Was More Respected And Before Eritrean Independent 1991 He Did Help Shaebia Community In Los Angeles And Orange County. We Played Soccer With Robel Afewerki, ( Brother Of Isias Afewerki) Pre Independent Eritrea .
