I am seriously beginning to believe that. The UAE is trying to use Ethiopia to legitimate Somali Land’s independence to facilitate UAE’s dominance over the Gulf of the Horn of Africa. The only problem with that is its resolute nemesis in Yemen. It is also vying Port of Sudan through possible victory of Hemedti.   I wonder where Israel stands on this ?

Yes! Eritrea kicked out the UAE. The initial agreement was for five years deal and when the five years came to an end, UAE asked to renew for 10 more years, and Eritrea said No. Ever since Eritrea and UAE relationship became cold. There is a reason why Abiy opted for Assab. The orginal idea was for Ethiopia to take down Assab then, UAE will do whatever it wanted. When Eritrea was not pushover, then weaker country was Somalia and Ethiopia went in headfirst without weighing the consequence and the rest is history.
