Yes Belaynesh Donqoro, Askari means “Soldier” or “Military” in multiple languages, including in Eritrean Tigrena, አሽካሪ, meaning the soldier of colonial power. Italians called their soldiers Askari when they were in Eritrea so is all Arabs, Somalis, Kenyans and so forth.
