What does a road mean?

Post by DefendTheTruth » 21 Jan 2024, 15:07

We were told it is just a connection between two points, A & B. We know there are many different types of connections, which can be used for driving between the two, even when it could be in a good shape.

There are distressing roads, even in a big city like Addis, and there are relaxing roads, which are introduced by PM Abiy Ahmed to the nation for the first time in the whole of its history.

We were happy when and where we could drive, the main thing, we assumed. But that is not the end of the story, even a quality road can be tormenting, depending the environment of the views and landscapes of the road way, as we were learned lately, thanks to Abiy Ahmed.

Here is an example of an entertaining and relaxing road, which brings you unforgettable driving experience.

Why is not even one main road in Ethiopia is not so attracting and giving you a satisfaction of being on the road?

DDT,

Before dreaming of comfortable road with beautiful glimpses, you had better think of the road to peace. Going this far even out of context to praise Abiy Ahmed makes you a laughing stock. Abiy Ahmed is a road block to peace and progress because his filled with the shi.thole Orommuma. You very well roads are on and off serving, people cannot enter into Addis Ababa.
I think you had better advocate to get Abiy Ahmed off the road so that Ethiopia can move forward.

Also, do not forget there are roads that have attractive scenes. Example Debresina - to Dessie.

DDT,

Example Debresina - to Dessie.
If Debresina - Dessie Road is that attractive and gives you a pleasure of driving on, no matter which transportation you may take, then that is a big plus for Ethiopia. I don't know the area, my reference was mainly Addis. I have been to some part of the South but there was no place that I came across that has got any semblance of well-designed road. I have even crossed one time in my life the Abay Gorge, it was a freighting experience. Back then there was not even a concrete road, all was a dusty pebbled road, where many lorries were caught up in accidents and many citizens were losing their lives, on regular basis.

The road I posted above is from Switzerland and I don't think Ethiopian terrain is more rugged than that of the Switz. We were, or to be more precise, the leadership was, lazy.

We were not even told that a road can also look better. Even today you want to pull us back, that will never happen, only on our .....
