William Joseph Burns, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), met with Hassan Sheikh Moahmud, the president of Somalia and the director of national intelligence and security, today in Mogadishu.
The topics of discussion at the airport, according to Aden Adde, were counterterrorism and security cooperation. Before this, Director Burns met with the Director of Intelligence in Nairobi and President William Ruto of Kenya during his two-day tour of the Horn of Africa.
I feel that Abiy's time in the Horn is numbered, and the bright future of the Horn is shining.

That must be as usual a made up story. Otherwise, a president of one country should have to talk to an agent of another country is perhaps a bit too much.Sholla Addis wrote: ↑17 Jan 2024, 23:07.

What is normal is, he gets to talk to his counterpart from Somalia's side.
In anyway, Ethiopia and the Ethiopians must come with the understanding to have their own plan that can be followed up by their own choice and their own power. Otherwise, being someone else's servant and living on alms is over.

The CIA Director met with his counterpart, and based on the news that has been widely reported, America realized that Abiy had become a source of instability and should be removed from his position of authority because of his lack of mental stability.

He met with his Somali counterpart. He also met with the Somali President at Mogadishu international Airport, where the president was on his way to Kampala to attend IGAD meeting and the CIA boss was arriving.

look at the dress of the Somali President. he's wearing the same suit both while with the CIA boss and while arriving in Kampala to attend IGAD meeting. Therefore, this shows that their meeting wasn't planned ahead to take place at the airport.
