Abiy Ahimed provoked another war, this time with Somalia. The sooner he is removed from power the better off Ethiopia and the whole of East Africa will be!

Unnecessary, unneeded provocation of another country. Somalliland needs to sort out its own issues with Somalia, not a problem Ethiopia needs to indulge itself with. A shameful international diplomacy moment brought on by the war hungry Abiy Ahimed, in order to hung on to power!

China which funds Abiy Ahimed's regime with loan will not support this move. Supporting it will have negative implications both in the region and at home.
"Somaliland is part of Somalia," said a posting on X by the Chinese embassy in Somalia, citing Mao Ning, a spokeswoman for the Chinese foreign ministry.
"China supports the federal government of Somalia in safeguarding national unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity," it said, adding that "we hope that regional countries will handle regional affairs well through diplomatic dialogue."
