🇩🇯🇺🇸🇾🇪 Djibouti will not to partake in US-led naval coalition against Yemen

Djibouti's Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf announced its reservation from partaking in the US-led naval coalition Operation Prosperity Guardian in the Red Sea, which aims to thwart Yemen operations on Israeli-linked vessels.

Youssouf affirmed that his country does not condemn the attacks from Sanaa in the Red Sea and the Bab el Mandeb, considering them a "legitimate relief for the Palestinians."

Youssouf stated that Djibouti is reluctant to participate in the alliance despite that the suspension of maritime trade in the Bab el Mandeb could potentially harm Djibouti's economy.

He pointed out that maritime trade is a fundamental part of Djibouti's national income, and if the Bab el Mandeb were to be closed, "the economy would collapse."

Meanwhile, the country's prime minister, Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed, announced the deployment of a U.S. Patriot air and missile defense system, but prohibited to use against Yemen.

When both China and Russia abstained during recent Security Council's vote condemning Houthi attacks, they knew the West would carry out air strikes against the Houthi the very next day, which will further anger the Arab world that see the Houthi as fighting for the people of Gaza, and will demand that their governments severe ties with the West or face risks of overthrow (Home-made Arab Spring), which in turn could destabilize world's economy far more than what the West had feared when the Houthi attacked ships destined to Israel. Scary times indeed.

The fat cow Guelleh, whom I despise as hell, is talking out of his ar.se.

No one has expected Djibouti to partake in the aerial strikes of the US and its usual puppet- the UK.

If Guelleh wants to make sense, let him criticise the Americans and then we'll be talking.

Djibouti and all Arab regimes are talking for political consumption but behind the scene they are thanking the US/UK coalition… Egypt makes $10 billion a year from Suez, and Saudi & uae have been lobbying the USA to attack Houthis since they failed stopping the Houthis themselves…
Arab governments are happy with USA but the public not happy but in reality in dictatorship societies… no body cares about the public, it’s all about the ruling elites ☮️🇸🇴🇪🇹🇪🇷☮️
