Similar to the Adwa Tegaru, the Hamasen Tegaru are hell-bent on clinging to power even if they suffer a disproportionate number of losses in every war. Although the one in helm, whom they believe to be ሓማሴናይ, is of pure ተምቤናይ descent.

Almaz

That makes sense. I know a few akaleguzis and jebertys, they say they are victims of the hamassien.

Well, they have very complicated issues on that desert land. Isayas and almost all his officials are agames.

Union, if you are interested in learning about Jeberti, I recommend exploring this subject on Reddit where I discovered an informative discussion that has greatly expanded my knowledge. Here's the link.

Almaze,
Thanks for the link. As you can see it in the referenced text below, the jeberi people are trying to be recognized in eritrea. The jeberi women I knew sounds similar. She claims to be an Arab.

When i used to be out with her somewhere and we run into Arabsq, she tries to let them know directly or indirectly that she is partly an Arab. She just believes that she is. But with proud Ethiopian next to her, she always wishes to be an Ethiopian. Hey- we got the magic, what can I say!!

"Jeberti people from my research and history records were originally Eritreans centered around the Town of debarwa which the sahaba negashi King resided. Most of Today's jeberti In Eritrea came in waves from the coasts of Eritrea where large ethnic groups mingled among Arabs and Eritrean ethnic groups mainly Saho/Afar and Tigre in Semhar. 1400 Years ago the first Jeberti lived in a village 3-4km outisde Debarwa centre ( this village is called the Sahaba village ) as also narrated by Sunnah narration including the Daughter of prophet Muhammed PBUH. There was no muslims in Tigray till the 16th century as also confirmed by Ahmed gragn when he invaded Axum. I am from Semhar region and the common knowledge is most of the Jeberti today in Eritrean Highland went there from the coastal towns mainly Zula, Adula, massawa, hargigo, T'io Etc. If you want to see how jeberti were before moving to the kebessa highland look at a clan called Sheikha who belong to the saho ethnic group around the Zula/adula area and you will see the resemblance.

Tigrayan Mulsims are not considered jeberti because their history is different, they are mainly muslims who moved to Tigray from all over the surrounding area mainly from the muslim sultanate in Ethiopia shewa and harari areas in the last 200-300 Years"

Using the same women as a reference, you can see the hate among them, the hamassien strongly hate the akaleguzis. They call them agames. The diaspora akaleguzis as a result do not want to associate with the hamassiens, they have their own seperate churches. The hamassien also will never attend their churches.

There are two akaleguzis church in DC/MD area that hamassiens hate it's existence!

She has a friend that used to go there.

So with all this mess, the hegdefs must be mainly akaleguzis but have support from jeberi, afar, saho, tigre, and etc.

Almaz, I dispute the assertion that the Hammassen people suffered greater losses in every conflict. The Tigray-Hammasin War of 2020 is the only conflict in which the Hammassin clan suffered substantial casualties. Apart from this war, the majority of casualties in Eritrea are concentrated in the Seraye and Akelguzai regions.
