PP's ቁማር on western countries is based on the hope that the west don't want terrorism to flourish in East Africa if PP falls apart. But the west conduct their business with principles and responsibilities.
As you said, they will finance this and let PP win on this and facilitate the exit of PP on the way the westerners know and have experience with.
I won't be surprised to see their medias start to cover news about FANO.

Yes, they probably will cover news about Fano as part of the layout to make oromuma exit but the fact that they have no control over FANO is making the out come very unpredictable which making them nervous like we have never seen them do before.
