this is embarrassing for abiy if the story is true. how can neftegna fano is able to free 18 ENDF colonels and soldiers and send them to mekele through gonder and wollo in just few days? damn that’s more than 600 kilometers. where are ENDF and amhara security forces? i thought there are checkpoints everywhere.
abiy should make peace with ola before it’s too late. this is a humiliation for him. he should bring ola to strengthen ENDF.

This shows FANO is maturing and gaining clarity in very very short time. FANO is going back to its roots, doing what its past predecessors did. I grew up hearing FANO’s (Ethiopian youth) bravery and love of country and sacrifice in defending aggression.

This has exposed the pretoria agreement as fake. Without this historic feat of FANO, these Generals would still be rotting in jail regardless of OPDO and TPLF leaders paper agreement. The two pretend but don’t even serve their POWs let alone their people. This is a big shame especially to TPLF current leaders.
This has also proven FANO calls its own shots and is not influenced by the HGDEF mendef. The talk of HGDEF using FANO to influence events in Ethiopian politics is just talk. More importantly, FANO has realized HGDEF is as bad or worse than OPDO , cruel and inhumane, and cannot be true ally. FANO can ally with Eritrea people’s movement lil Berged Nhamedu and others that share its value of serving people.
The OLA is better off working with FANO than the lunatic OPDO leaders. They both have popular base unlike OPDO that’s hated by its base as Minister Taye has proven. By the way, Abiy is unable to work with OLA because OLA is not about serving individuals but serving people. Eventually, FANO and OLA will talk instead of becoming objects Abiy plays one against another to prolong his reign of terror.

Yes Eden, the discipline displayed by Fano is impressive so far. yes I have a feeling Fano may have a communication with lower ranking Tigrayan officers and probably also from OLA elites as we have seen ceasarion of hostility from the likes of Tsegaye Ararsa and Hizkeal Gabissa. The Oligarchy created by PP and TPLF didn't serve the average Oromo or Tigrayan. They both used the people to stay on power for longer and longer while enriching themselves and their families.
or1, don't believe news coming from Fana and ETV. The ground in Amhara is already out of ENDF and BEADEN hands. They just use the cities as garrison or else the roads to cities is controlled by the Amhara people and Fano. You can circumvent cities as there are plenty non commercial routes (less important for the government)
