Eritrean glass factory built in 1959 under Haile Selassie I (one of Afirca's first glass factories)

The glass factory started, in a vaster way, its own production in the month of January 1960 with the new installations which, emplaced in 1959, will allow a production which extends from the 90 gr bottle to the 1000 gr bottle and to a vast range of glasses, which will meet a favorable and satisfying setting in all the local markets.

Works for a very modern installation for decorations are also under way, which will enter the production phase the next month of September: with the mentioned installation the most disparate sayings and multicolored decorations will be printable on the glass products. The factory complex avails itself of its own electrical power supply where several electrical assemblies for a total of about 1,200 HP are installed. The said power supply is indispensable for the firm's production, as even the least interruption of the electrical energy would jeopardise the good course of the production.

HE the representative of H.I.M. the Emperor visited, on March 19, 1960, the plant, taking a keen interest to the activity of the praiseworthy Ditta Melotti.

Junta - What’s your point? The cathedral of Our Lady Mary Tsion in Axum was also built by Emperor Haile Selassie and the Old Chapel by Fasiladas. The latter has exhibited severe roof deteriorations in the last couple of decades.

Before the US forced Eritrea to become part of its Africa's largest neo-colony, Ethiopia, the nation of Eritrea had the second largest economy in Africa next to Apartheid South Africa. Following the illegal annexation of Eritrea by the blasphemous Haile Selassie who said "ኤርትራ መሬቷ እንጂ ህዝቧ አያስፈልገኝም", Ethiopian troops arrived in Eritrea chanting "እምቢ ያለ ሰው ጥይት አጉርሰው!". He dismantled up to 280 major factories and manufacturing plants in Eritrea and moved them to Ethiopia, forcing hundreds of thousands of Eritreans to suddenly become unemployed.

Sarcasm aka edu ተመን፡ and many of his fellow Weyane cadres (in this forum) know well that Eritrea has been on Weyane conceived and implemented by the UN, US, and EU sanctions to this day (except the UN ones). If it was not for the hardworking, patient, and peace-loving Eritrean people under selfless political leadership, most economists have expressed that Eritrea was doomed and did not expect it to survive the Ethiopian regimes' economic onslaught as Fiyameta stated would have been correct! And yet the Weyane cadres keep on bringing their evil deeds against Eritrea, only to remind us how devilish and malice people they are.

You would think, these people should be the last ones to try to mock anyone, but here they're, doing what they do best- provoking others to stoop to their level. What perplexes me the most is though, what is itching them? Why is it for them so important to talk about how PIA 'ruined' a 60-year-old Glass factory instead of the million of Agames who lost their lives and limbs, of the millions of children whose future ruined because they didn't go to school for the last four years, of the millions children who missed out schooling in their formal years of education, of the millions displaced and starving right now.... Or perhaps are they addicted to our abuse, ridicule, and rejection?
